I would recommend against chan, as that attracts a lot of shitposting /b/tards, which is basically what killed tinychan, just at an accelerated rate.
Pokemon is an OK tag I guess.
I don't know about anonymous though, I thought we were planning to add tripcodes when the mod became available? I'm not sure how many people would post anon if we could have names...

Also, I come here from hobs OverTalk. If we promoted his site over jan's clone, I think we would get more (better) posters.

I just Stumbledupon'd this place. I'll write a good review for this place, but I would say get your friends to thumbs up it on Stumbleupon. I would definitely be interested in forming this into a cool place to talk about anime and other geeky shit. I think we could attract more people if we had a more attractive site. I am a graphic designer of sorts so I think it's all quite possible.

Anyway, the Type of software this site uses is made to be lightweight and more focused on the comunity, dicussion and imageposting rather than having the place look pretty or all web2.0-y. This does use a different .css that was the default one that came with the source code anyway. It looks a lot worse before hand.

I think its a chan. same culture, same subjects, same Anonymous, and even same traditional tripcode system when we move. Its still a imageboard, your just dont HAVE to post a image to start a topic. Its the same thing when you turn 'require image for topic' off in KutsabaX. ATBBS is still chan software. Other chans use it too, not just TC. (but lets not talk about them ^^)

789chan takes it's name from the main board which is a chan. The actual name is 789chan BBS.
The same goes for Hurrchan /tiny/. The site header says "/tiny/ - Textboard" and the sub-title describes it as "A general SFW textboard".
So really, the purpose of both is to provide a text forum for the more tl;dr inclined channers.
