Topic: Otaku techno nightclub in Akihabara.

From a new post on my favorite webcomic I found this:
http://megatokyo.com/strip/1277#rant1034
> Let me tell you about a club called MOGRA. Nestled safely deep inside Tokyo's Akihabara district, the legendary home of all things otaku and anime, MOGRA is open six days a week, with a schedule of different types of music and DJs slated to bring you the music and images your mind never thought you would see inside a nightclub.

Site
http://club-mogra.jp/
Club Morga stream
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/mogra1
I would read the whole thing but TL;DR its a night club that caters to anime fans. The UStream is really cool. I'm watching all the DJ's setup stuff right now.

Add an "i" after your delimiter on the regex to make it case insensitive.

@previous
The "/" on the end of the regex.

'/href=http:/i' would catch HREF=HTTP: as well as HrEf="http" or something similar.

/href="http:/i should catch any spam links.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA! THEIR SPAM IS NOW FOREVER RENDERED USELESS!!!!!

Also, sales now wordfilters to sales. Just fyi.

And if someone can tell me how to regexp "sale.url" and allow url to be a variable for net/com/org/biz, you get a Dr. Pepper.
Or, even better, combine that with the sales filter so that the 's' on the end of 'sale' is optional.

. !NzLASIJfYM replied with this 5.8 years ago, 3 minutes later, 1.7 year after the original post[Top] #12,258

I suspect spam serves as a sort of "calling card" for more spam. We remove it from the other threads and they only seem to get hit sporadically. This one seems to be a fairly consistent target.

@12,250
Loyalists did until I figured out why the ID delay wasn't working and the admin fixed it.
dev.bbs did until I locked the board and moved back to LSN.
YWTPBBS had it pretty bad until they closed.
I think the others are just too obscure for the bots to find them.

Or if the first post of a id contains a url the user would have to solve a captcha to confirm the Post.

@12,351
we can,and I do go through and ban those IPs occasionally, but it's not a simple process, so it's kind of a pain to do. also, failed posts take up a large amount of space in the db because of the huge blocks of text that the bts throw at us and can't be removed the way posts can. furthermore, there's only 1 visible page of failed posts, but every failed post ever made is still in the db; despite being otherwise inaccessible.

There's a lot of work that needs to be done with the software in the area of cleaning up garbage in the db easily from the mod/admin web interface.

Currently, our db is 25% of our total disk usage on the server.

. !NzLASIJfYM replied with this 5.7 years ago, 5 hours later, 1.9 year after the original post[Top] #12,513

I don't have anything that can block posts based on text content. I add the filters so their links become useless for whatever purpose they were actually supposed to serve. I don't know how the model behind linkspam works, but I do know that if the links don't work then they're wasting their own time, and not mine.

Obviously something to autoban them would be wonderful to have, but so far no one has shared such a thing with me.

Mod replied with this 5.7 years ago, 1 hour later, 1.9 year after the original post[Top] #12,514

@previous
Based on how out of context they are it is just a spambot with some script that priorizes being able to spam in most sites as possible without bother about bans, or context sending thousands of spam per second and if it pass the defenses great, if not them who cares?
