I'm curious if I should bring in anime peoples at a large amount since I'm bored and am a marketing wiz. I'm curious if you guys would like an influx of users, or if I should slowly bring them in, or not at all. Just curious :3

I'm curious to learn how you plan to archieve that. ;-)
Slow is better IMO.

typically i can go like this:
-search for blogs with 200/less daily views
-post several comments on multiple blogs
-slowly bring in new visitors
-post on small-ish anime forums
-use SEO to bring up otakutalk on 'anime forums' etc.

easy mode/get lots of visitors:
-2ch
-4chan
-420chan
-popular anime forums full of QQers
-mass upload youtube videos advertising ^_^

well i'll do the slow way, but damn going organic is hard.
chill nigga

Slow flux works much better in long term. User explosion leads to a lot of problems.

Here is the article that support my claims.
> A recent study has found that the fall of an item’s popularity mirrors its rise to popularity, so that items that become popular faster also die out faster

I can only pray that twilight follows this rule.

It's much easier to get to know people when they come in slowly, which helps to build the feeling of community. When TC moved to 4chan it was "HOLY FUCKING SHIT NEWFAGS EVERYWHERE, ASSUME FETAL POSITION TO AVOID TRAMPLING!!!!"

What about Sub groups? Most people don't utilize the url field when they post. It's a good way to get yourself embedded without attracting too much attention. (Assuming you don't act like a complete faggot.)

iichan.ru is slow but alive.
hurr.ca has an active chat and slow boards.
Courtney(Admin of hurrchan) might be willing to work with us.

Anime fansub groups. The ones with open comments often have lots of posts, but most people leave the url field empty. THis can work with any group that uses Wordpress software on their site. I'd venture to guess that about half of our userbase actively watches anime, and roughly half of those probably leave a "thank you" or some variation thereof when an episode is released. So you can spread the word by just by doing what you already do.
