I think /b/tards are the main problem of 4chan. They make fine boards go to shit and with their huge numbers act like a spam magnet.
My idea is to make manga/comics threads on /b/ and use programs like xChan Directory Dumper to dump a lot of them in the thread (keeping the thread alive). Since it's not possible to dump all thousands of pages in a comic series in the thread you can just tell them to read it on one of those sites where you read manga online. This will make part of the /b/tards busy (reading all webcomics from a site or all volumes of a serie).

Anon is the lifeforce of 4chan.
The real problem is trolls, /v/ repeats the same damn discussion over and over again because of it. I don't care if the PS3 has no games, we've been over this constantly for over a year. It's like this for every other board as well, and idiorts keep falling for them.
The problem is that trolling is not allowed outside /b/ but it's impossible to keep /b/tards in great numbers out of control. My plan is to reduce the number of /b/tards online.
/b/ sucks and /b/tards know it. If they were distracted in something else (like reading manga/comics/webcomics they would spend some time reading them instead of /b/.
If there are less /b/tards on 4chan the crossboard invasions would be reduced (even if someone comes with the idea there would be less people doing something about it) and there would be less trolling too.

Anyway I'm dumping Yotsubato on /b/ right now and the replies are being very positive. This dumping will take almost 3 hours and if they decide to buy/download and read all the volumes available there will be manny /b/tards out of /b/, During the dump I'm keeping many /b/tards stuck in a thread without trolling in the other boards.
Yeah, that's why it can't be done by only one person.
At least it isn't hard to dump. I just run the program and leave it dumping for an hour them I answer some questions and give them the source and finish the dump. (usually from 100 to 140 pages of a comic each dump).

I would say this, but here would be my plan.
Phase one
1. Have moot stop bitching about not having enough mods and hire on a assload of new mods.
2. Turn on the Facebook Connect thing again on all boards and have it checked on by default. (It would stop ALL spam temporarily annnnnnd...)
3. Permanently Autoban Everyone who uses it. Even if it is by accident.
4. Keep this going for one month or more.
Phase two
1.Delete /b/
2. Make word filters on all boards for "/b/", "b", "/bee/", or anything like it. After its (/b/'s) deletion, all the middleschoolers and pedophiles from /b/ will flock to the other boards asking about it. So move on to step 3.
3. Make the consequence of tripping the wordfilter a permanent autoban. /b/ so newfags and facebook fags will visit other boards for the first time ask about /b/, therefore they are still on 4chan, this measure is to combat them.
Phase three
1. Have the new mods be constantly scouting all the boards for newfags-/b/tards (same thing anyway) asking about /b/. Anytime they see one, or anything that looks like one, permaban them no questions asked. No appeals.
2. Anytime they see someone finding a new way to get around the "/b/" wordfilter, permaban them and add the new work-around to the wordfilter list.
3. Keep this going for two years minimum. Let /b/ go out of fashion again.
Phase 4
1. After the 2 year minimum, (or more) create /b/ again, add wordilters for anything the looks like a email, AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, Myspace, or facebook account.
2. Have moot write a news post explaining what happened in full honesty and detail.
3. Have all mods focus on /b/ and pemaban anything that looks like thread asking about what happened. Only /b/tards won't read the news post.
4. Also have them pemaban anything remotely related to a hookup or contact info thread.
Only true Anons will actually come back to /b/ after all this. And all the newfags, facebookfags, and /b/tards will have forgotten/lost intrest by then. Hopefully.
This is very brutal and will not restore /b/, fully, to its former glory, but it will make a fucking huge dent in the problem.
Sorry, but I think this will cause even more trouble.
About the mods they are doing a much better job now. Hire a ton of mods means that there will be many rogue/abusive/childish mods and bad mods are even worse than lack of mods.
Also, ban doesn't do shit, the trolls evade bans and the authentic users will be banned. (Authentic user: Fucking mods ban these /b/tards already! and permaban!)
one small problem; the worst /b/tards are the smart ones, they probably already know about dynamic ips, even if they don't it would be very tempting for intelligent trolls to explain other ways to get around shit.
Since that wasn't the first thread I think they are doing a good job. It's just that the effects aren't so fast. /b/ means no rules for poster and mods. Mods need to use the "no rules" more often.

I stopped posting manga when recaptcha was implemented but on a thread about "post ending in XX will decide what board we raid" I managed to get the number and told them to raid /b/. Seems like there are more people like me since others are doing the same.
