Ok NOW!
FFFUUUUUUU Its still not working.
Posts are lagged by 4 minutes and the statistics said OtakuTalk went live 4 months ago. I reset the Unix timestamp but now it just says it was launched a hour ago instead of 4 months ago and posts are still lagged by 4 minutes. wtf.

at least it's only 5 minutes. KimmoTalk's delay is 7 minutes.
v1.5 stable doesn't have this problem.
Don't know if the database could carry over though if you upgraded.

for the time being, you're probably best sticking with your current setup. the quote/cite function is still buggy with 1.5. I do have a working bulletins addon if you like.

HAHAHA OH WOW
Well, I tried to fix the problem with a solution Jan told me about but instead everything crashed. Untill I can find someone smarter than me to do it, I'm not goning to fuck with it.

OK, I think I've got the cite & quote problem fixed. Unfortunately, my campus blocks all ports except 80, so I can't login to test it out until I get home.
It seems like there's more than a few projects going on with ATBBS.
-One guy(s?) has been working on a service like IB4F but with ATBBS
-Jan is apparently going to release Tinychan's saucecode at some point.
-I heard about one guy who is taking whatever version of ATBBS I'm using here and adding ALL the available plugins to it then re-distributing it.
-I've heard of a few different guys working independently on their own cut of ATBBS.
-Plus a lot more.
I think it would be greatly beneficial for everybody involved if the consolidated their projects into one or two. If there are to many separte efforts going to then what we could end up with is ton's of diffent, mediocre, fragmented flavors of ATBBS all over the place (a huge mess) instead of one or two really good ones.
What should we do about this? Is there one place all the programmers can congregate plan all this shit out and work on it collaboratively? Do we even know ways to contact each of these people?
[edit]
Sorry about not having a tripcode system in place Nega. I wish I did.

@previous > -Jan is apparently going to release Tinychan's saucecode at some point.
I wouldn't put too much stock in this. He released the folks code without any info on how to enable it.

that would be zor, and his attempt failed miserably. He attempted to strip the stuff from literlka's fork and add it to ATBBS 1.0, but he has no patience and the code is a mess.

I thought the exact same thing, and I've set up just such a site: http://dev.bbs.lostsignalweb.com
Finland also set up an IRC channel- irc.helldive.org#ATBBS
I'm not even sure what version I'm using here. fuck. It'll be harder to add addons not knowing that. (is there any way I can tell?)
Also what are the differences between regular ATBBS and Vanilla ATBBS and what version is it currently in?

currently you appear to be using ATBBS 1.0
it's stable, but lacking in features.
I know the bulletins addon works with this version, I don't know about events though, as I just got that working.
My latest beta version has the version number embedded in plain sight (at the bottom of the page) to make identifying old versions easier once I have a fully functional alternative to 1.0. Once citing/quoting is fixed, switching over would be a feasible solution to your time problem.

@previous http://dev.bbs.lostsignalweb.com/repos
it's not specifically for 1.0, but it does work with 1.0
1.0 is the only official stable version that I know of at this point.
As for 1.3, I'm not sure if it ever existed. The constant false DMCA's have made the project hard to back-track.
Anonymous E replied with this 2.2 years ago, 1 hour later, 3 weeks after the original post[Top]#111
@previous
No, but 1.0 got out and spread quickly, but the further developments weren't so popular because development cells like Google Code, github, etc. were DMCA'd and the code was lost pretty quickly.

Last I heard, he was pretty burnt out from all the unvalidated take-down notices and didn't want to deal with it for awhile.
I have a private host and I know exactly who has access to the server, so I'm not worried about those issues. They've already denied one false DMCA for a wiki backup.

My private host is free actually.
As for the topic issue, something happened with double-digits that the code doesn't handle properly and it's dividing by zero. If you use /topic.php?id=1 it'll work that way still.
Yesyesyes. Very much so. But I first I want tripcodes/names. Once I find a DL and install guide of that, then I will move on to other things.
Plus start advertising.

alright, alright. We're doing the best we can on that. I noticed there's defines for enabling trips/names in config.php of 1.0 that doesn't seem to do anything.

*Courtney from hurrchan is working on one for /tiny/ and said it'll be released when it's done
*Anothertalk.net has them, but the Sys says closed sauce
*Awesometalk has it, but Sysbro says their code is such a mess of modifications that it would be impossible to try and extract just the name/tripcode part for publishing. I'm inclined to agree with him since they're running 1.0, but with almost all the features of 1.5 added. And releasing the source wouldn't be very useful since they have about as many broken features as 1.6b, with as many working functions.
*Reaperchan seems to have them, but their entire site is a mess, plus they're developing under an entirely different framework. Compatibility has yet to be seen...
*Other than that, there's Jan, but he's to busy fagging around to release any of his own code from TC. (You'll notice the contents of the events and bulletins addons he posted yesterday are the same as mine, even though events is labeled as a test version on my site)

Oh, and I'm working on a burichan theme for you.
Until that's finished, here's all the stylesheets I have available: http://dev.bbs.lostsignalweb.com/rep/stylesheets/
