So been browsing tons of chans for a while. So I decided to make my own imageboard.
If you want, you can check it out.

Yet another fucking 4chan clone
What difference does your site have against the hundreds of almost identical imageboards?

I'm just as frustrated to be honest with you.

Glad you understand. With all those imageboards around, there's nothing separating them from each other. They're just your average imageboard.
Then all you have is a board used by barely anyone and used by people testing their exploits/spam.

Yup. And I'm frustrated because I don't want my site like 4chan. Why would anyone? /b/ has gone to shit there, pretty much every board has. I just wanted a nice discussion board that can be adapted to various interests.

So I remodeled the site a bit. I figure the site was too unoriginal and traditional, so I made some boards that not many other sites seem to have. Check it out if ya like.

This, tbh. I gave imageboards a go two times.

My first setup was set up for my school since Yik Yak was censoring all the fun. It ran on Tinyboard and was active for a little while when I was shilling for it around school and I set up a lot of options like a board that allowed users to upload whatever banner they wanted. I was building a movie night page to stream movies starting at 9 pm on Friday and Saturday with an IRC channel to let everyone talk to each other. While I was doing that I was too busy to keep shilling for it and all activity on the page dropped to zero. Nobody watched a single movie I streamed and then I was so frustrated with it that I left it alone, then I came back and it was having all kinds of issues for some reason I'm not fully aware of and I decided to kill it and use the server as a VPN.

The second one was on a Raspberry Pi that was set up as an access point which was not connected to the internet. The 404 redirect page would bring the user back to the imageboard. A few people posted on there talking about how angry they were that they couldn't get to Facebook as though the board was just for tech support. One guy uploaded a picture of him giving his friend the middle finger. Nobody ever actually uploaded a file despite that I had it set up to upload practically everything besides .exe's That was about it and then it was hideously inactive and now I'm using the Pi to automatically connect to all wifi networks in range and find their public IP address for reasons I use later.

Overall I disliked actually running an imageboard and prefer to just stick to posting on them. I only did it because I missed 4chon and was looking to fill the void which is why I'm here in the first place.

All the 4chon crowd either went to 8ch.pl's /4chon/, forechan.org, or tinychan.org
I think forechan has the highest potential for those people

Wow forechan is running at even lower quality than my shit little imageboard that was running on a $5/mo Digital Ocean server. I at least had webm thumbnailing, hover over replies, quick reply, etc. enabled. Thanks for pointing me towards it though.

Is 8ch.pl another hotwheels creation?

I don't really know much about it, but I know it's where part of the diaspora headed

Beautiful. This sounds like exactly the type of place I'm looking for. Thank you, friend.
